  • How to install the .mxp files.
    • DoubleClick the .mpx file and follow the instructions of the Extension Manager.
    • Alternatively add the .swc component to
      Windows:
      C:\Documents and Settings\-username-local settings\application data\macromedia\flash 8\en\configuration\components
      Apple Mac:
      /-username-local/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Flash 8/en/Configuration/Components
    • German Mac Version: The Extension Manager will always copy .mpx files into the ...\en\Conf... folder! You have to install the .swc file manually into the ...\de\Conf... folder.
  • Restart Flash or click Reload in the Component Manager.
  • Open a new file.
  • Drag the Component from the Component Library into the stage.
